Privacy

Short version: this is just a landing page for my YouTube channel. I don't collect your personal info, I don't sell anything to anyone, and there are no ads on this site. I do count visits so I know whether anyone's actually out here.

What this site does

It shows links to my socials, pulls in my latest YouTube videos, and has a little camping game. That's it. There's no account, no login, no contact form, no email signup.

Stuff stored on your own device

Your browser saves two small things locally so the site behaves: a visitor number, so your camper number stays the same when you come back, and, if you were asked, your answer about tracking. Both stay on your device. I never see either one. Clear your browser data and they're gone.

Visitor count

To give each person a "camper #" the site pings a simple public counter. It just bumps a number up by one. No names, no emails, nothing that points back to you.

Analytics

Two things count visits here. Vercel Web Analytics is the plain one: no cookies, no following you around other websites, it just tallies pages. Google Analytics is the fuller one, and it does set a cookie so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. It shows me page counts, rough country, and what kind of device you're on. Neither one tells me who you are.

Advertising

I also run the Meta Pixel, the tracking tool behind Facebook and Instagram ads. It tells Meta that a browser visited this site, which lets me show ads to people who have been here before. Mostly that's for merch, whenever that finally launches.

Worth being clear about what it doesn't do. I never learn who you are. I can't pull a name or an email out of it, and I can't download a list of anyone who visited. All I get is the ability to point an ad at a group of people I'll never see.

Your choice

If you're in the EU or the UK, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel don't load at all until you say yes. You'll get a small bar at the bottom of the page with two buttons, and until you pick one, neither of them runs. Say no and they never load. The cookieless visit counter keeps working either way, because it isn't tracking you.

Your answer is saved in your own browser, not on a server anywhere. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser and the bar comes back.

Everywhere else, both load by default. Any ad blocker or your browser's tracking protection stops them, and nothing on the site breaks if you block them.

Other companies

The site is hosted on Vercel and the videos come from YouTube, so those services see normal web traffic the way every website does (basically your IP and browser, for the request to work). I don't get any of that, and you can read their own policies if you want the details.

Kids

This isn't aimed at collecting info from anyone, kids included, because I'm not collecting info, period.
