We made these in the tree tent video, in the rain, on the cast iron I bought from Target. Grass-fed 90/10 beef, a pound each, on brioche buns with onion. I forgot the cheese, which hurt, but it didn't matter. Was it the best burger of my life? No. But sitting in the rain right then, it was a 10 out of 10.

Those burgers were so good.

What you need

• Grass-fed 90/10 ground beef, a pound each
• Brioche buns
• Onion
• Seasoning
• Cheese (I forgot mine)

Gear

• Cast iron skillet
• Fire grate
• Spatula

How to make it

1. Set the cast iron on a grate over the fire and let it get hot.
2. Drop in a ball of beef and smash it flat.
3. Season, flip once, and build it on the brioche with the onion.
